My Consignment Bucket List: Part I

When I was about sixteen, I stumbled upon a local vintage shop called Second Act Boutique. Inga, the kind and strongly opinionated older lady who owned the shop, took an instant liking to me and I would spend hours trying on beautiful vintage pieces during summers when school was out. I really think Inga just wanted someone to talk to, but I was enthralled by her vast collection of timeless pieces, all waiting to have a second life.

Second Act Boutique is sadly long gone, but the impact it’s left on my life remains. I love the thrill of finding a secondhand piece, of discovering an item so perfect that it feels bespoke. It’s such a unique experience. I’m fortunate to be able to style clothes for a living, and the challenge and rush that comes with vintage and consignment shopping is a feeling I crave.

Over the years I’ve accumulated a list of designer items that I hope to own during my life, and what better and more sustainable way is there to do this than by consignment shopping? I’ve put together a few of the items on this list, and I hope you find something that inspires you.
