In mid-June, I had the privilege of attending CHANEL’s first Summer Beauty Summit on the beautiful island of Sardinia, just off the coast of Italy. Yes, I am living my best Balearic life right now.

Between exquisite dinners and boat tours, I had the pleasure of working with CHANEL Makeup and Hair Artist Julie Cusson to create multiple looks using new innovations recently added to the Les Beiges collection. This is my personal favourite collection within the CHANEL beauty empire - ever since they launched their Water Fresh Tint a few years ago, it’s my go-to for creating a natural and effortless glow. And you know that effortless is very on brand for me.

I’ll be posting the looks we created on this trip, as well as the products Julie used. I know we’re not all professional makeup artists, but I find that Les Beiges is simple enough for a lazy girl like me to apply. You know what they say about certain recipes - it’s very forgiving. I hope that recreating these looks aid in manifesting your European SummerTM, and that you find yourself an Italian lord in white linen along the way.

Out of this stellar product lineup, my standouts include: Water Fresh Complexion Touch (it’s meant to be a concealer or a more full-coverage version of the Water Fresh Tint), the Water Fresh Blush (the pigment on this is incredible - a little goes a long way), the new medium shade bronzing cream (it’s the perfect shade if you tan easily in the summer!), and the eye kôhl in Clair (this is a rather under-the-radar launch, it’s the perfect waterline liner to make your eyes so much brighter. I was hungover and running on four hours of sleep when I took these photos, and the eyeliner saved me).
