CHANEL LES BEIGES SUMMER 2022: PART II

SUMMER IS NOT OVER YET.

I simply refuse to believe it!

It’s been a month and a half since I shared the products from part I of my CHANEL series. SInce then I have gone on what ended up being a month long vacation, only to find myself scrambling to catch up on everything I put on hold during July. There is really no excuse for how delayed the second part of this series is. I’ve shared all of the products used.

While part I only covered one look, part II is going to tackle all the bases. We’re talking skin prep, nails, and in one instance I even find myself wearing lipstick. That’s right. Like a colourful lipstick. Like a vibrant colour. Like a don’t-even-dare-kiss-me-you’re-not-worthy colour.

Let’s talk skin prep.

CLOTHING ON LOAN FROM CHANEL

Hydra Beauty is my favourite of all CHANEL’s skincare lines. Not only does it objectively smell the best, but it fulfils my main concern in life, which is hydration. I’ve been using the Camellia Cream since its launch, which creates a gorgeous iridescent finish (though not sparkly!) on the skin. For an extra dose of dew, I love the Micro Sérum, which has a delivery system similar to that of the Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint. Patented micro-droplet technology encapsulates potent ingredients and preserves them until they make contact with the skin, where they release and instantly plump the skin. It’s a beautiful sensorial experience, believe me.

I used:

Hydra Beauty Micro Sérum

Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Yeux

Hydra Beauty Micro Crème

Hydra Beauty Camellia Water Cream

Good skincare is going to determine how well your makeup applies - it’s not a step to skip. I find that foundation can flake, pill, or apply unevenly if my skin isn’t moisturized accordingly.

Using the same base as listed above, simply follow with lipstick to tie it all together. I swear this is the only bright pink lipstick that looks good with my skin tone!

Rouge Coco Bloom in Shade 126 - Season

I’m showing off my hands quite a bit in those photos, and with good reason. When Harriet Westmoreland and her talented team show up in Sardinia to do your nails, you make it known.

BRACELET COURTESY OF CHANEL

I couldn’t decide which colour to use out of the limited edition summer collection, inspired by the vibrant colours of coral reefs. So naturally, I chose them all (all except for the shade Blanc Écume, that is). We went with a rainbow french tip manicure, and the result was a look that would still be neutral enough to pair with any outfit, yet playful to anyone who had the honour of seeing me wildly gesture as I spoke. A standout new product is L’huile Camellia, a cuticle oil in the chicest (yet highly practical) packaging resembling a lip gloss. Upon first application the product appears as more of a gel texture that transforms into a hydrating and nourishing oil. Read: no messy or dripping application process, and no leaky tube. The applicator is conveniently bevelled to push back the cuticles - every detail is functional here.

A special thank you to the CHANEL Canada team for this wonderful opportunity to travel to Sardinia and learn from the best in beauty.
